I really enjoyed creating my diagram. It was difficult to find the right software to be able to complete the diagram though. I am not sure how it will turn out when added to my blog. Diagramming is an excellent resource and acts as an outline. It is better than an outline in the fact that it can tie certain parts of the curriculum together. I look forward to working more with diagramming.
I can't figure out how to upload my diagram. I will keep trying. Below is the information.

Hello Shana,
ReplyDeleteI really liked your diagram that you emailed everyone. I believe that everybody has had difficulty posting to the blog space. Your course was well planned and very succinct with allowing parents and students to join together. Good job.
Hello Shana,
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on the diagramming. I retrieved your e-mail and the diagram looks wonderful. I am unfamiliar with the mechanics of diagramming. However, I must grasp the concept soon.
Shana, you stated “all parents will have option to opt out of their child participating in this course. It will be important for them to note that all students must participate in the program starting in grade 6 to move onto the next grade level course”. Yet, “if, after review of materials used and a conference with the instructor and principal, a parent requests that his /her children not participate in a given aspect of the course, an alternate educational assignment will be arranged for the student with the approval of the principal”. When a course is required for the student to progress into the next level, why would a parent place the child in jeopardy of not succeeding to the next level? Due to subject sensitivity of sexuality, would parents have to sign a consent form? Nevertheless, I agree many parents object for religious reason, cultural purposes, or what ever reason to their child receiving valuable and educational information. From my perspective you appear to be on track and I can stand to learn something from you.
Take care.
